Happenings

So since we have been in calgary

-Went to the Zoo
-Went to the science centre
-threw my back out
-Jared went to Saskatoon for a week to get some things done
-I got pneumonia(still do, and just started on Friday)
-Spent alot of time out in the country with Grandpa and Grandma Craig
-Spent lots of time with Nana (my mom)


Sorry I forgot to bring my camera to Calgary, Jared is bringing it back when we comes . and we plan on going to the sci centre again, zoo, heritage park, calaway park, banff and more! So sorry guys, hold tight!

also where I am staying (my moms) there is no Internet so I will be on very rarely! and those of you who know me, give me a call at my moms if your in Cow Town!!!

So I have lost 5 lbs, ubber excited

Both girls are teething, hence the lack of sleep, Angie is getting molars Hannah tops

Okay now the rant portion, bear with me.

I am not a huge dog person. But I know alot of people are so if these things bother me, when i am anti-animal why don't dog lovers?

Okay so you wouldn't leave a child in the car for hours on a hot day right? that is cruel

Then why leave a dog?

You wouldn't have your child ON YOUR LAP while driving would you?

THEN WHY WOULD YOU HAVE YOUR FREAKING DOG ON YOUR LAP!

So many people have dogs that they treat like children (not a bad thing) then if you are driving, or IN the car with a dog and he/she is not locked up you are JUST as BAD as BRITNEY SPEARS driving with her child on her lap! Common ppl!

Second rant

(warning this may confuse you)

So I totally know I have put my foot in my mouth before so I don't get offended but ya.

Don't you hate when people say something that cut you to the core, but they didn't know it. Like they make a comment about some subject that you are currently dealing with but they have no clue and you don't want to tell them, frankly it is none of their business, but at the same time you want to defend yourself or a loved one without exposing the situation but at the same time what they said really really hurt. What do you do? I have been confronted in this a few times lately. what do you do? sit there and do nothing? respond? I have tried both. both times I still felt attacked (but totally wasn't because they had no way of knowing). Maybe its my own issues but ya......

Sometimes I look at my girls and I am overcome with emotion.... they are truley beautiful. I just wish I could capture their beauty in a picture like I see it. Some of you may be thinking Pft they are nothing speical, but boy they are I just wish I had a picture to prove it. Someday maybe I will.

Knock on Wood

Its been a good day already and its only 1:30! we cleaned this morning, had Calvi over and they had a PRETEND sleepover. Now Angie and I are having some girl time!

Also I had moms day a day early it was great! I got a nap, and a lovely flower garden and when we know for sure there will be no frost a veggie garden and herb garden!!! (pictures will come)

My mom has always been there. My daughter ADORE her. She always gives me benefit of the doubt for all my crazy ideas! I call my mother about 4 times a day and she never sounds annoyed! She makes a trip to Saskatoon monthly just to see us and help out! She has seriously spoiled us with love. Since being a mother myself I have learned first hand the love and affection a mother has for her children. It brings me o tears just knowing my mom feels that way about me. I only pray I can show her the same love. I know I feel it but I hope she knows!!! I LOVE YOU MOM

My MIL is also amazing. I have big shoes to fill in my husbands eyes. He always talks about the most amazing lunches he always had while at school. How his mother was there before and after school to hear about his dreams or days. I don't know how she keeps a clean house (like UBBER clean) with 7 kids! I wish I learnt the trick! She makes amazing desserts and suppers. Thats where you go if you want a healthy dinner and then an decadent dessert! She is always eager to help when we need the help! Angela knows her house as the puppy house! and always loves to play out on the farm. She looks AMAZING after having 7 kids. I hope she has a spoiled rotten mothers day! Love you! (I will make sure Jared phones haha)

Just what I needed today

1 Hannah broke her first tooth and is an awesome stander and two stepper

2 Angie still isn't 100% potty trained

3 Angie wont eat dinner HELP ANYONE!!


4. I think it is hilarious that today on our walk two firetrucks got lost trying to find the field that was on fire! they were driving around and around trying to look for it but it was actually across the highway from where we were. I even knew where it was!

5 still in toon town...boooooooo

6 I got my hair done again, same as before, short and blonder!

7 Doc is pretty sure Hannah has asthma, she is on inhaler for 6 weeks and then back to the docs plus she hasn't gained any weight since she was 6 months, which is supposedly another symptom of infants with asthma

Prayer

Angie has started saying her own prayer before bed. It is ubber cute. It goes like this usually:

Dear heavenly father

bless this food

bless mommy, daddy, nana, hannah, calvi, lose (last two are her friends)

bless angie sleep long time

bless baby jesus

Amen

It melts my heart every time I her her sweet prayer. Once in a while she will throw in a thumbilina or Dora

Oh the love.This little girl has the best smile EVER when she does her full smile she shakes, puts her fists to her face and has the BIGGEST smile. Its too cute. I couldn't get a picture of "her" smile. She can take 1 step!!!and Man does she have tude! she is a drama queen. Angie will touch her and she screams like she got bite or something. More Angie got in alot of trouble before I figured this out. She defiantly has personality. And lets us know it


Angie, man do I love this little lady. She can drive me nuts and then melt my heart with her kindness in 2 seconds flat. The other day I was sad. She came over put a pillow on the couch told me to lay back and stroke my hair and said " I get you choc-o-late milllk and then you feel ALL better" She also started saying her own prayer. It is the stinkin cutest thing EVER. I love hearing her prayers. They are so pure. Also for those who were not in our sacrament meeting. She LOVES to sing so she "sings" the hymns as loud as possible and this is her version of every song " MOMMY, HANNAH, ANGELA" over and over again

Tired Mom When................

I did a Yoga class yesterday morning. I fell asleep in the MIDDLE of the class, and was out until the end. We were face down about to do the Cobra. And I was KO'd. Drule (sp?) and everything. Totally got made fun of. But I don't care. I got a work out and a nap in one!

The Big News!!

So we got a letter today! Jared is on the waiting list for Havard Law for his masters!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reflection

So as woman we are constantly thinking (obsessing) about our weight

We are never where we (think) should be

I am always commenting to myself, Jared or others about how "fat" I am. I have done this for years. Even when I was 100 lbs.....I remember bawling the day I hit 100 lbs.....





Today I was watching Angie. She doesn't care about my weight, or hers. Perfect bliss. To not care. I have days that I don't but then it's back to obsessing.

And as I was thinking about this watching her not care she turned around to me and


Grabbed her tummy (like she has seen me do a thousand times) and say "To big Mommy"

I scooped her up right there in my arms and told her "No Angie your perfect and so beautiful"

"Yes mommy I am"

We really have to watch what we say around our children. I would never want my child to be obsessed as I am with her weight. She should be happy with how beautiful she is. A lesson I have learned today.

Heavenly father probably wishes he could physically scoop us up and cradle us in HIS arms and tell us "No Hunny your perfect and so beautiful"

Is it true, is it true?

The garbage man now comes every Wednesday again, which is a joyful thing to celebrate! (during the winter he comes every second week...which I think is stupid)

In my inbox I got a e-mail from the Running Room announcing "spring" running!

Awesome Bday

First of all, any day that ends will Lululemon is amazing.

So I totally wasn't expecting anything. I am a HUGE bday person, but Jared IS NOT AT ALL. He could care less. I got to sleep in, got breakfest in bed, and feed fruit by Angie.

She made me her own person bday card and sang me happy bday.

We went shopping

I got a pedi

went to pita pit

shopped again

bought lululemon pants

put the kids to bed

watched She's the man and TWILIGHT

Ate junk

All in all it was an awesome day

p.s got tons of presents from my family and jareds!! (thanks)

{She} Was White As Snow

So I have been working my butt off trying to keep my house spotless, for my sanity sake. And one morning I decided to barricade my children in the living room with snacks , drinks, and a movie while I took literally a 5 min shower. Jared was home, but studying so he could keep an ear out for them. I had a nice shower got out, asked Jared if he had heard any little foot steps or cries. He replied nope. So I go upstairs to praise my girls about how good they were while mommy had a shower. What do I see in the living room?

Nothing. Not a good nothing..... a bad nothing.

No Angie, No Hannah, just my very "cleaver" barricade broken through? How I still don't know to this day

I peek around the corner in the hall towards the kitchen what do I see

little white Angie foot prints? Odd?

Then runs out Angela, hands and knees covered in white flour.

She has done this once before while we were baking and just stuck her hands in the floor bag and nothing else. So I didn't think much about it. I washed her hands.

Then I thought to myself......then where's Hannah?

Not yet being in the kitchen I check there first.

Sure enough there she is.......IN the flour bag....... COVERED with flour.......and so was my kitchen. You know those REALLY big bags of flour from COSTCO.......yup I only have 1/4 of a BRAND NEW bag now

My kitchen was white.....

What does Angela say? "Mommy It's Snowing...now white as snow!!"

I had no clue where to start

So Angie crying in time out

Hannah crying in her exersaucer because she was having so much fun in the flour throwing it everywhere and mean old mom had to take her out of it.

I cleaned up the kitchen as best as I could as fast as I could so I could clean up Hannah.

Well I got most of Hannah cleaned BUT her hair so I had the bright idea of sticking her head under the tap to get it off.

What happened when water and flour mix?

GLUE....ALL OVER HANNAH'S HAIR

We had about 5 baths with my shampooing her hair before MOST of it came out, still had one blob for about a day until that days bath.

And then I was having a conversation with Angie about it this is how it went

" Angie Mommy was really upset when you put the flour all over your sister and the kitchen...Mommy had to work really hard to clean it all yup"

"I'm sorry mommy" *kisses

"that's okay Angie"

"But mommy I was making Hannah white as snow... Me Mary...she follow me where i go"

So now she is putting the blame on the nursery rhyme " Mary had a little lamb"

I do most of my thinking right before I close my eyes to fall asleep.

I think about my plans for the following day

Tomorrow’s dinner

I contemplate what each of us girls should wear, and if we will all match.

But most of all I think about the things I could do better the next day

The cookies that broke my diet

The laundry I didn't put away

But the thought that crosses my mind the most is how to be a better mother.

I shouldn't have lost my patience so quickly, she is two

Did I hold her enough?

Did I satisfy all their needs to my best potential?

I want them to know I did the best I could

I love these little ladies

SUCCESS!!

As I am sitting here in bed, I feel peace



My little girls are tucked into their warm beds, clean and smelling sweet



My hubby is working hard on school so he doesn't have to on Sunday



All of the girls clothes are in their rightful drawers



No clothes on the floor of our room



Both bathrooms smell AMAZING!



No dishes in the sink



No spills or crumbs on the floors



No toys out of place







All is right with the world.

New hair

So on impluse last night we got Angie hair cut! it looks ubber cute. They added layers so her hair looks less messy more curly, they explained that she has thick hair but little of it and its curly so it gets frizzy and a mess. so layers help. and as it grows the layers grow with it which will help it grow nicely.

K so I LOVE matchy matchy

This one is just because she loves yogurt so much, she is never not eatting it!

I don't know about you guys, but I am sooo ready for warmer weather. Honestly it feels like we have been sick since before christmas, its been forever! I am ready for the sunshine and being sick free!!!!

ABC game

So Angie made up this game to play with Hannah after dinner while I clean up. She calls it the ABC game. We have the leap frog ABC electonic thingy on our fridge, and there are magnets of every letter. Well angie puts them all on hannah's tray and hannah bangs and bangs and as they fly off Angie runs to put get them and put them back on. They did this for about 40 mins and honestly were laughing SOO hard they were both out of breath by the end.

We now do it every night. and it is both their fav time of the evening!
